I couldn't put it down, I just HAD TO know what would happen next and let me tell you, I didn't expect THAT to happen...
Amazing characters and a gripping story that kept me at the edge of my seat.

El and her friends/allies managed to save all the children of the Schoolomance and are now looking for a way to make a life outside of it. El cannot get over the loss of Orion, but she is given no time to grieve:

Finished this and then turned back to the first page to re-read it immediately.
I was worried this would disappoint me - writing satisfactory endings to engaging stories ia a challenge for every author, but I'm very happy to report that Naomi Novik managed to write El and the scholomance universe a furiously engaging, moving and satisfactory finale!

This book entertained me very well. It was surprisingly written with a lot of humor and sarcasm, but that's what made it so fun. The story itself remained exciting and the characters are very likeable. Of course it had its vampire clichés, but these are by no means bad.

This novel was created when the author thought about his new robot vacuum cleaner and his imagination took on a life of its own.
This describes well how this novel can be read, which walks the line between fantasy and science fiction: slightly absurd, but also very entertaining and sensitive.
Once again, TJ Klune was able to captivate me with a wonderful story and I'm looking forward to reading more from him.

Fantastic! Chelsea Abdullah paints a lively picture of the sandsea and it's travellers. I swear I could almost feel the sand and the desert sun.
It's not often that a sequel is as good as the first book - but that it's even better? El and her friends find themselves in another year in the Schoolomance, but it turns out last year's heroics have messed with the school's delicate eco-system: Can the school handle so many students surviving? And why does El feel like someone wants her to understand something vital?

A fantasy novel with crime elements and an enchanting lovestory.
Imagine: The future. In which we will still love, hate, grieve and regret (but in slightly different forms).
This book kind of destroyed me. I am an emotional reader and known to shed a tear or two, but at least three of the chapters of this reduced me to sobs. Not a lot of writers can etch out human connections in all its beauty and complication like Sequoia Nagamatsu.

One of the best trilogies I ever read.
Lynette Noni creates a world that I'd love to explore and characters that I want to befriend. I fell in love with this series and The Blood Traitor is an amazing finale.
I cannot describe the amount of comfort Everina Maxwells books bring me.
Each character is unique and is described in such wonderful detail so it's impossible not to create the most fantastic mental cinema!
This book makes its readers smile and reflect and it makes one thing clear above all: no matter what or how you are, you are worth being loved!

I'm honestly at a loss of words...
You may know Christina Henry from her darkly fantastic interpretations of literary classics like THE CHRONICLES OF ALICE, THE MERMAID, PETER PAN, THE GIRL IN RED or HORSEMAN. I enjoyed all of these immensely. But I like it even more, when Henry ventures deeper into the horror-genre like with this book or with NEAR THE BONE. These works are beautifully dark and scary and convey just the right atmosphere to suck the reader into the story. This particular book often made me think of Thomas Olde Heuvel's HEX. If you liked one, I'm sure you will love the other one, too! Have fun and a good scare!

Das erste Buch der Reihe Dresden Files zieht einen sofort in seinen Bann. Jim Butcher besticht mit seinem kecken Schreibstiel und den ausgerbeiteten, organischen Charackteren die er kreiert.
Harry Dresden ist en sehr witziger Charackter, mit dem hang zum Dramatischen, dem man gerne folgt.
Gripping urban fantasy with such a diverse world that I was jsut a little overwhelmed. This book is guaranteed to appeal to lovers of complex stories.
